sloppy.io is an integrated all-in-one solution for container based development, deployment and hosting – made in Germany.
The managed container as a service platform (CaaS) provides cloud infrastructure and workflow tools, to run fast and cost-efficient micro services and container applications. Developers can access the platform either by web administration, CLI tool or API.
Our headquarter is in Cologne but if you aren’t local to Cologne, you can also work remote. We use GitLab for managing code and doing code reviews (pretty similar to GitHub), Redmine for issue tracking (just another issue tracker) and Gitter with Skype for messaging and calls.

Frontend Web Developer
We’re looking for a frontend web developer to join our team part or full time (3-5 days per week). You’d be working on the dashboard of our Docker cloud hosting platform, making it easier for our customers to start and maintain their Docker-based applications.
Experience with React, react-router, Ampersand, Webpack or SCSS would be a plus, otherwise we’d expect you to learn those quickly.
You don’t need to know Docker, but any experience you can bring to the table would help a lot.
Backend node.js Developer
We’re looking for a backend node.js developer to join our team, part or full time (3-5 days per week). Our backend is a node.js web server that manages user accounts (through Auth0 and CouchDB), subscriptions (Chargebee), applications (Marathon/Mesos). All of these services have REST APIs that we integrate with. We use extensive unit testing with mocks to implement new features and avoid regressions.
You know the important node.js APIs really well, worked plenty with Promises and REST APIs. You’re a proponent of test-driven development (in the right context) and used Mocha/Chai before. You have some experience running and debugging node.js in production.
Experience with Express, CouchDB, Elasticsearch or Docker would be a plus, otherwise we’d expect you to learn those quickly.
Fullstack node.js/web Developer
If you’re comfortable as both Frontend and Backend Developer (see both above), we want to hire you even more!
